Review of Straw Dogs (1971) by Chris H — 24 Jun 2010
Unsettling and uncomfortable, this film's tension builds and builds and builds until the audience gets delivered to madness for the final 20-30 minutes.
Highly controversial even in its time, this film will definitely stick with you. Some people find the message to be that to be a real man, one must become violent. I choose to view it as a case study of violence and madness, not as an advocate of it.
