Review of Strangers on a Train (1951) by Bob V — 06 Oct 2010
A Hitchcock masterpiece, placing suspense and death in places of careless fun, and threading the movie with 'doubles' as a theme. Robert Walker plays his haunted part convincingly, perhaps in part because a short time would tell that he was doomed himself.
Random: I kept wondering where in the world I'd seen the actress playing Walker's mum before, but it eluded me. Anyway, looked it up, it's aunt Clara from Bewitched, who was like 45% of what was awesome on that show! (Don't even pretend like you don't know that 50% of the awesome was Agnes "I was friends with Bette Davis so you know I'm a tough bitch" Moorehead.).
