Review of Strangers on a Train (1951) by Tushar K — 10 Jun 2011
Strangers On A Train is probably the first movie of Alfred Hitchcock I've seen. I surely respect the director, Alfred Hitchcock is definately one of my favorite directors. So, you can already tell that I was very exciting for Strangers On A Train.
And now I've seen it, I can absolutely say only one thing: brilliant! Strangers On A Train is probably the most sicket film by Mr. Hitchcock that I've seen in my whole life. It is disturbing, it is scary, it's intense.
It's almost everything you need in a very disturbing highly recommended thriller. I respect people who say that this movie was boring as hell, but those people would probably not be into the whole film-noir genre.
The acting, well the acting is great. We've got Farley Granger who did a very good job, definately worth to check out some more of his movies. We've also got the disturbing Robert walker als Bruno in this movie.
He played a complete psychopath and he portrayed him the way I wanted him to see play this guy! EXCELLENT! The directing, well it's Alfred Hitchcock. What do you except? A hell of a job! He did is perfectly.
So, yeah all and all: Strangers On A Train: very disturbing, very intense and terrifying! Definately worth checking out Also definately not for everybody! So yeah: great movie!
