Review of Strangers on a Train (1951) by Jard M — 28 Dec 2011
Easily one of my favourite Hitchcock films, Strangers On A Train is an absolute classic! It's just done so well, with great performances and great suspense and almost a timeless quality to it. I watched it in 2011 and found it thoroughly entertaining and still more enjoyable than most films of today.
It will make you sit on the edge of your seat until the very end. The one complaint I have is near the climax, a police officer does something very stupid, which I won't reveal so not to ruin it, it's a small complaint but I remember thinking that it was so stupid that it had happened.
That very small comlaint aside, Strangers On A Train is easily one of Hitchcock's nest films and worth watching, although if you're a Hitchcock fan, you should already have seen this by now.
