Review of Stranger Than Paradise (1984) by Martyn G — 22 Jul 2007
Perhaps the slowest film I've ever seen, but I don't mean that in a bad way. The mood that Jarmusch is able to create in this movie is quite unique. It's 85% vacant, 15% melancholy, which is a bizarre combination that I've never seen before.
It's certainly not a movie I'd ever want to watch again, and it's very sad when I think about it in-depth, but I can certainly appreciate it.
