Review of Stranger Than Fiction (2006) by Adam B — 19 Feb 2012
Off-beat, charming and strangely absorbing. It exists in it's own little world, but it is a pleasure visiting it for the film's running time. Will Ferrell shows us that he is capable of much more than loud comedy (in what is possibly his Truman Show), and any screen time for Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson in any film is an utter joy, and here they are on predictably fine form.
Perhaps not a film to re-watch all the time, but it's heart warming, different and every once in a while rediscovering it can be a real treat.
