Review of Stranger Than Fiction (2006) by Josh — 03 Mar 2007
Will Ferrel is brilliant in the role of IRS agent Harold Crick. His on-screen chemistry with the delightful Maggie Gyllenhaal makes this the best romantic comedy of 2006 and definitely in the top 10 of the last decade.
The disappointment stems from the fact that the film attempts to draw you into the beauty of life and the importance of not squandering what you are given, then cops out in the final act. Turning what could've been a meaningful film into "just" a romantic comedy.
