Review of Stranger Than Fiction (2006) by Vannstacide — 09 Nov 2017
This movie is great, which is why I'm so frustrated that the meta story, the novel, is such a terrible story. Anthropomorphizing the watch and assigning causal significance to it is a pretty cheap premise. This novelist being acclaimed in any way takes a suspension of disbelief that's much harder than accepting that a protagonist could hear the voice of the novelist who's writing about him, and suffer from the adventures which she devises for him.
That said, this movie one that I keep wanting to watch over and over again. Cute love story. Great cast. Pretty charming overall.
