As a heterosexual male, it is kind of tough admitting that this was actually a really solid movie. Most people I know wouldn't make it through the first half hour. Stranger by the Lake is an extremely well made and well acted minimalist suspense thriller.
One could see the master crafting something like this if he were alive today.
