Not a very good movie, in my opinion. I love animated movies but this was is so generic. the unnecessarily frequent singing and it wasn't original music. the story was predictably cliche and wasn't funny or interesting. I can't recommend it.
If you want examples of how to make an awesome movie look at Book of Life, Big Hero 6, How to Train your Dragon 2, The Box Trolls. All those came within the past year.
