Review of Strange Days (1995) by John S — 23 Apr 2010
Great premise and all star cast, but with a cliche ending. Angela Bassett overacts in most of her scenes. I put this on the Netflix queue because I was interested in seeing what Kathryn Bigelow had done before The Hurt Locker.
Written by James Cameron long before Avatar, it explores similar ideas of viewing life through the eyes of others. Rent "eXistenZ" and "Blade Runner" back to back then watch this film - you'll see a lot of overlap between the three.
What ever happened to Juliette Lewis anyway?
