Review of Strange Days (1995) by Claire B — 12 Aug 2007
Bloody brilliant thriller that mixes the sci-fi edginess of Blade Runner with nice elements like a coherent plot. Cameron's script is gripping (anyone who wants a one-stop class in screenwriting, read the published scriptment) and Bigelow's direction (rather more subtle than Cameron's) makes a beautiful film.
Buyer beware: it gets very, very dark, but it's worth it. Don't watch it with your folks, though.
