Review of Strange Days (1995) by Rodney E — 10 Apr 2013
This was one that I tried to like and even had a dub of it on a VHS tape, but somehow I just didnt get into this. Maybe it is because Ralph Fiennes cant really carry a movie or the fact that I didnt care about him and Juliette Lewis and their relationship.
Strange Days not being very good leads me to wonder why movies involving virtual reality arent very good. Quasi futuristic movies like this normally dont do it for me. Give me a post apocalytpic setting or some razzle dazzle sci-fi but dont give me some mediocre drama and wrap it up in a pretty Hollywood bow that pretends to me deep and gritty.
