Review of Straight Time (1978) by Domenico L — 15 Aug 2007
A good, compelling, if a touch dull, drama about a convict trying to go straight. Hoffman is solid. Walsh, Busey, Bates and Dean Stanton offer terrific support. Biggest complaint - Theresa Russell. It's partly her fault - she's outclassed by Hoffman - but her character is also woefully underwritten.
I never quite bought her getting involved with an ex-con.
