Review of Straight Time (1978) by Don N — 17 Aug 2007

The jail/parole aspects are very very real. hoffman gives off a joyless, but unexpectedly believable performance of a career thief, as well as harry dead stanton being hilarious; I cant help but think if the same story was shot differently , it could work well as a comedy.

while I watched this mainly for the hoffman, theresa russell is also a favorite of mine, but in here shes really too young and not at the top of her game yet.
