Review of Straight Time (1978) by Mike M — 19 Sep 2011
Hoffman during his 70's heyday, playing an ex-con who fails at his attempt to stay straight while out on parole. Based upon a non-fiction work, written firsthand by former thief and addict Edward Bunker.
A pet project of Hoffman, who starred, produced and co-directed the work. One of 1978's best flicks. Ultra-realistic tale with all the details covered.
