Review of Straight A's (2013) by Austin H — 24 Jun 2013

This brand new independent film was labeled a comedy and while it had some laughs it was very much a drama with some sad, life lesson moments. Ryan Phillippe played a great character and it was fun to watch him interact with the family and see how he changed their lives.

Everything seemed like it was leading up to an inevitable ending but then a pretty decent twist left me surprised and saddened at the conclusion. This one is nothing special but it does have some heart and shows a more serious, grown up side of some of the actors.
