A film starring many of Britains finest. Newcomer Alex Pettyfer plays the hero of the hour Alex Rider, teen spy. Alex does do well but his performance is a tad hit and miss, but most newcomers never pull it off on their first attemtp.

Also he makes the character to confident, which in the end doesnt make the characters personality as realistic as it should be. He seems more like an adult than a teenager. The story is also a tad hit and miss and could do with being a bit stronger.

However the only real reason to watch this film is for the allstar adult cast of britians finest, however as always in films like this the adults appearances are limited so you've got to enjoy them while you can.

Bill Nighy steals the show with his charcter Alan Blunt. And hes the only adult that gets the respected amount of screen time a man of his standred deserves. By far the best acting in the film. Although not British watch out for Mickey Rourke as the films villian who also shows off incredible acting talent.
