Review of Stormbreaker (2006) by Linn S — 13 Jan 2009
I really liked this movie, and I'm falling in love with the books, but guys, come on. You're not going to get any interest from your targeted demographic. Kids, well, they're fickle. Now, spruce it up, make it a little darker, and more like the books, then you'd do just fine.
Alex Pettyfer did very well for his limited acting experience, and I for one would like to see him continue to be Alex Rider. Just, you know, bang him up a little. Take a look at the FanFiction for this.
We love the books for a reason, and not because they're SAFE! Good movie, and wish they would continue to make the series into movies. Remember, HP didn't do so great on it's first two movies either, not until they targeted an older audience.
And yes, it helps that Alex Pettyfer is smokin' hot! Keep the movies coming, because they can only get better!
