Review of Stormbreaker (2006) by Joel V — 17 Aug 2009
A mocking and horrible excuse for a Teen-Bond film. This film was predictable and dry. The characters where predictable and often humorous. I can not believe that this is what the author of the book series had in mind.
Not to mention that this film had all of the classic pitfalls of a secret-agent movie that I thought had evolved out of the modern cinema. For example excessive plans of a villain that involved everything but actually shooting at the hero until the most fortuitous moment for the agent in question.
There where also fantastic murder machines and situations such as the knives of Mr. Grin and the jellyfish tank that seemed to go on and on with no real pain to Alex. This film was a childish abomination, I give it a generous 20%.
