Review of Stonehearst Asylum (2014) by Bill B — 11 Apr 2016
I wanted to really enjoy this one based on the talent involved, but for the life of me it just never won me over.
There's just something so frustratingly familiar and cliched about everything that makes it hard to really enjoy because you're second guessing what you hope won't be the next (utterly expected) 'twist', and then exactly what you're expecting to happen plays out, credits roll and you're glad you watched it via Netfux Streaming and didn't blind buy the disc.
Rental? Maybe? If you're a completist for any of the talent involved?
