Review of Stone (2012) by Tiffany L — 26 Mar 2011
De Niro adds another turkey to his resume. Stone has a good premise and promising start but rapidly falls apart as it tries to paint the con (Edward Norton) as morally superior to De Niro's parole officer.
In what should be a directors dream come true, Norton and De Niro's scenes are so tepid it's almost unbearable to watch. One unintentionally funny aspect is the invented religion the screenwriter uses to show Norton's rehabilitation.
Don't go anywhere near this.
