Review of Stitches (2012) by Dan F — 30 Jun 2013
Imagine a film about a vengeful, resurrected killer clown. Now spend two days filming it. It will be better than this. Ross Noble's usually kinetic energy is replaced with amateurish embarrassed murmuring, and it's clearly inspired by- but no match for- the macabre tone of League of Gentlemen but sadly it never quite reaches that standard, opting instead for an unfulfilled narrative (despite intriguing quirks and allusions early on) and sub-par Braindead style gore (although the balloon pump to the head is pretty funny).
Dumb, derivative and amateurish stuff.
