Review of Stitches (2012) by Matt R — 22 Oct 2014
Imagine if Peter Jackson made this movie back in the day somewhere between Bad Taste & Dead Alive (AKA Brain Dead) or Meet The Feebles.
(If you are not aware of any of those movies.. this movie might not be for you.).
Now imagine if Beetlejuice & Freddy Krueger had a bastard clown child.
Well that sums up this movie in a nutshell. It is an over the top hilarious gorefest with a great new caricature of a horror character. The movie I believe is not meant to be a horror movie (even though billed as such.. ???). But rather a comedy with gore.
For those who don't know, Ross Noble is a stand up comic.
This is his first movie roll and.
He really looks like he is having a blast as Stitches. Just Like Michael Keaton and Robert Englund did in their embodiment's of what is now two of cinemas most iconic roles.
I loved this movie!
I hope they make a sequel.. I'd be first in line.
