Review of Still Alice (2014) by Bryan M — 24 Feb 2015
A first-rate treatment of Alzheimer's afflicting a successful linguistics professor who has it all: a perfect family, great job, and happy life. It begins with a perfect recreation of professional, upper-class, intellectual New York which then gives way to an unstoppable illness which touches everyone in differing ways.
Great acting from all and a tone which nicely balances between sentimentality and reality without going too far to any extreme of emotion.
