Julienne Moore definitely deserved the trophy. The rest of the movie is mostly solid, although there are some weird moments with lighting and framing that seem "Made for TV" and not at all in character with the rest of the movie.
Kristen Stewart manages to avoid biting her lip and is actually very good. Kate Bosworth and Alec Baldwin are fine in their limited way. Hunter Parrish, maybe because he features in one of those poorly constructed scenes sticks out as the stinker in this.
Overall, a good movie, and it approaches greatness in the final 15 minutes or so.
