Review of Still Alice (2014) by Robert G — 15 May 2015
Still Alice is well-acted, well-written, and an absolutely beautiful film that explores themes of loss and grief...which makes its abrupt and ineffective ending all the more disappointing. It starts out as a well-told heart-wrenching tale that commanded my attention.
..but it ends as a missed opportunity that will - ironically - be easily forgotten. What a shame. 4 stars minus 1.
