Review of Stigmata (2009) by James H — 09 Jan 2008
Pretty much a mess of a film. Its clever ideas and story are muddled with some confusing direction and poor effects. Arquette and Byrne's performances are hardly inspiring, and it seems that they flounder in a film that doesn't really know what it wants to be.
A pity, then, as this could have proven to be an interesting examination of Catholicism in all its forms.
