Review of Steve Jobs (2015) by Van M — 17 Feb 2016
This film isn't necessarily a "Bio-pic", but more of a "look into the life" of Steve Jobs. This film is masterfully written by Academy Award-Winner Aaron Sorkin (Best Adapted Screenplay, "The Social Network") and phenomenally directed by Academy Award-Winner Danny Boyle (Best Director, "Slumdog Millionaire").
Set behind the scenes of the launches of the Macintosch, NeXT Cube, and iMac, this film follows Apple Co-Founder Steve Jobs (Played by Michael Fassbender, who earned an Oscar nomination for his performance) and his assistant Joanna Hoffman (Played by Kate Winslet, who also earned an Oscar nomination for her performance) as they go against former CEOs, and former lovers, and even Steve's possible child.
The film tells a tale that we may or may not have already known, but it still leaves us shocked by its genius.
The film is full of dialogue that was masterfully written by Aaron Sorkin, but it still keeps you enthralled with its pure genius.
All and all, this film is expertly crafted and played out. It left a serious impression on me, which is why I've named this as my 3rd favorite film of 2015.
Definitely a must-see.
