Review of Steve Jobs (2015) by Dylan M — 06 Mar 2016
Steve Jobs directed by Danny Boyle and written by Andy Sorkin is a very intelligent and well written film. The movie tells the tale of the infamous, Steve Jobs, through three product launches, The Macintosh, NeXT, and the iMac.
Its your basic three act movie. The movie has a numerous amount of great performances from Seth Rogen, Kate Winslet, Jeff Daniels, and especially Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs. The man knows how to act.
behind a very well written screenplay. Fassbender gives every drop of emotion and heart into his role. We perfectly get the perspective on how Jobs was a genius and asshole. I also liked the way the story showed us Job's family life.
There was a lot of tension, frustration, and anger that went on behind the scenes of the apple industry I was completely unaware of. My only real issue with Steve Jobs is that the film feels a tad dull.
We rarely exit big cooperation buildings and it just doesn't give a lively feel to the setting. Aside from that I thought Steve Jobs was a very well made film. Its incredibly acted and has intriguing dialogue, but it will lack the elements in keeping most audiences attentive.
