Review of Steve Jobs (2015) by Tony R — 04 Apr 2016
Very good film, surprisingly intelligent for a biography and also easy to see why Americans didn't get it. This is not Steve Jobs This is Your Life. Instead, it's a story based around three product launches, but really showing how Steve Jobs grows his ability to develop both products and relationships during his career.
In the end, those products that initially defined his brand become tools to define his relationships. If you are an Apple Fan and want to know the history of the products then this will leave you disappointed.
If you're interested in how Steve Jobs was able to be both charismatic and repugnant simultaneously then this will hit the mark. Ultimately about a man recognising that he is defined by what other people believe about him rather than what they say or do with him.
