Review of Stepmom (1998) by Peter B — 17 May 2008
Having picked this up from a British Heart Foundation charity shop I felt that this was great value for money.
What a tear jerker. The number of emotional roller-coasters I went on was amazing with feellings swinging from sympathy with mother to stepmom to dad to children to dad to stepmom to mother to.... you get the idea. These were big issues. As someone who has only had one partner in life and cannot envisage the phenomenon of "falling out of love", it made me consider many things from a very different point of view. I am glad that my children were never faced with the choice of parent or step-parent. It is an adult choice, no child should be asked to make it.
