Review of Step Up Revolution (2012) by Alan Fong D — 21 Aug 2012
Flash mob takes centre stage as YouTube generations make use of a space-aged technology known as Internet to gain fame. As usual, the franchise continues with more dance numbers and loud music that celebrates today's youth culture of performance art.
While the soundtrack starts applying the dubstep genre, the dance numbers were lethargically shot. Unlike the last one which had effectively captured the vibrancy and energy of the dance, the flash mob concept here looks clunky.
The effects or that sense of awe isn't there anymore. On the bright side, the film did a great job in bringing out the very beautiful summery side of Miami.
