Yes, believe it or not I have just seen this movie - I saw the second one first. It was oookay, but many exaggerated the quality of the movie. I personally think it is nothing compared to Save the Last Dance (and maybe Honey, I don't really remember).
The second Step Up has better dance performances too, if I remember correctly.
