Review of Step Up 2: The Streets (2008) by Jiana W — 09 Apr 2011
I've seen "Step Up 3" and now "Step Up 2". I need to see the first one, but out of the two that I *have* seen, I think this one beats the third in terms of acting and general storyline. Granted that's not saying a whole lot but c'mon--- when you compare this and the third film you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. Adam G. Sevani is just adorable. I know he's an 18-year-old kid (15 at the time of this movie, I think) but he's just too cute as the geeky but secretly awesome outcast Moose, who becomes Andie's first friend as her stuck-up new school. Honestly, he's probably my favorite to watch dance because he's talented but his facial expressions show he's having so much fun. Plus he incorporates Michael Jackson into his dances. Yeah, he's my favorite.
Anyway, while the acting and storyline is good in "Step Up 2", "Step Up 3" has it beat in the cooler dancing department.
