Review of Step Brothers (2008) by Kieran B — 05 Feb 2013
An absoloutly brilliant comedy because it focus's on family. I mean what could be more funnier than watching 40 year old men behaving like over grown teenagers still living at home with their parents.
Will Ferrel and John C Reily are incredibily funny together, not only are they simillar looking they also have the same sense of humour. The chemistry between the whole family is also a nostalgic and funny dynamic to watch.
The screen play is genius, every scene some how get's me laughing and the audience just moves along with the transitions, we love it when they fight against each other and we love it when they work as a team.
Another thing I love is that they are not sad middle aged men they are your typical teen and the director uses every ironic fibre of the teenage life very well.
There is no real plot but it really isn't really neccesary because it's a character driven comedy.
