Based upon a DC Comic series, STEEL features basketball superstar Shaquille O'Neal as John Henry Irons. He leaves the military and turns himself into an armor-wearing superhero. The comic series was a spin-off os SUPERMAN, and this action-packed film features plenty of subtle SUPERMAN references, as well as plenty of Shaft jokes, as SHAFT himself (Richard Roundtree) co-stars, along with Annabeth Gish, in this film that should be a cult classic.
