Review of Steamboat Bill, Jr. (1928) by Tanaya B — 17 Dec 2007
What a great film. Keaton is a comic genius. His stunts are totally amazing. His expressions and mannerisms are priceless. Unlike a lot of silent films where the acting is a bit over the top, Keaton's naturalistic dead-pan style will stand the test of time.
Anyone that won't watch this film just because its silent is a moron but it doesn't matter because they don't know what they're missing anyway. Most of today's filmmakers and actors should take a step back study some of these old greats a little closer and realize that there is more to a storytelling than just the words.
