Review of Steamboat Bill, Jr. (1928) by Curtis M — 14 Jul 2008
Keaton at his best. With some of his best stunt work 'Steamboat Bill Jr.' is one of Buster Keatons most exciting films. The storm at the climax provides so many gags and stunts that you're still laughing from the last one by the time Keaton twists his body in the way only he can, to provide another joke.
This film also contains the famous house front falling stunt, and Buster being saved because he happened to be standing where the window was. Finally, seeing Keaton play the more 'girly' guy is a great little touch that seperates this film from most of his others, and the part is played perfectly.
