Review of Steamboat Bill, Jr. (1928) by Eduardo C — 01 Dec 2013
Ingenious Buster! His follow-up to his masterpiece "The General" is nearly as good, although it follows the same formula. Inept babe in the woods greenhorn city bred Buster meets his father (who runs a steamboat) and then when the going gets really tough ends up saving and rescuing everyone as if he were Superman! Buster in real life risked his life not once, but several times while filming the legendary rescue scenes which have to be seen to be believed.
Hilarious and out of this world. A true masterpiece !
