Review of Starship Troopers 3: Marauder (2008) by Brian M — 18 Apr 2010

I was at my local library getting my usual free dvd fix, when I came across Starship Troopers3. I knew there was a ST 1 and 2, but, was unaware that they made a 3rd movie. I assume that this went straight to video.

All I have to say about this movie is that it wasn't very good. The acting was pretty bad, and the whole thing seemed like it was more funny, and stupid, than the original Starship Troopers, which was one of the best Sci-Fi films I had ever seen. If it wasn't for the incredibly hot lead role played by Casper. I think I probably wouldn't have liked it.

It was just so dumb, and predictable, It was hard to watch it without cracking up. The movie did have some decent visuals, but they were overshadowed by the obvious plot.

And, the sexual overtone was bordering on pornographic at times, with way too many naked men walking around, witb women flaunting their breast to cover.

I would be very surprised if they make another ST movie.

If they do, it couldn't be worse than this. It's not horrible, but, it's not even close to being as good as the movie it is trying to cash in on. Too bad.
