Review of Starship Troopers (1997) by Master Xi-Ying W — 21 Apr 2013
This movie was a total BLAST and worth every New Taiwan Dollar I paid to see it back in '97. Imagine a future where humans go to war with GIANT ALIEN BUGS! How much more fun can you get?
The CGI was believable, the special effects were cool, and the mindless violence kept me on the edge of my seat. And for you ladies, there's even a bit of romance!
My only negative criticism would be that I wish they would have spent more time showing us all the different types of bugs. Sometimes the movie just went too dang fast. --Oh, I've got another one: with all the awesome technology they supposedly have flying across the galaxy, why are they still using 20th Century weaponry?
