Review of Starship Troopers (1997) by Steve W — 24 Apr 2012
In a futuristic and militaristic Earth, the Federation does battle against giant bugs in this satirical action sci-fi flick. It's scary how close the plot line is to 9/11 (seven years before), but it is very over the top in its gung-ho nature towards war and conflict.
The movie has a bit of romance, tons of bloody action scenes, and just enough camp to make for a very memorable science fiction film from Paul Verhoeven.
