Paul Verhoeven's underrated Starship Troopers feels like a true spiritual successor to RoboCop, and embraces what made RoboCop a success more than any of RoboCop's actual sequels. Starship Troopers is as much of a biting and downright hilarious satire as it is a space marine action/sci-fi adventure film in the vein of Aliens; all while featuring a pitch-perfect tone as well as Verhoeven's signature flare behind the camera.
