Review of Starman (1984) by Koolkoyote F — 10 Feb 2007
Carpenter takes a break from the usual chills and gore to make a heartwarming and lightly comic stranger in a strange land sci-fi, in which a stranded alien takes the form of Karen Allen's dead husband and seeks her help in reaching his rescuers.
Touching, amusing and sensitively directed, it shows JC had more than one string to his bow.
