Review of Stark Raving Mad (2002) by Jake P — 24 Aug 2006
An enjoyable Action-Comedy, Seann William Scott is great as Ben McGewen who leads a goofy bunch of criminals. Quite a few of the scenes are over-long, yet the idea of the lead character looking at the camera to narrate makes it feel like you are actually there. It is also good to see Lou Diamond Phillips he is good as Mr Gregory, the man who gives you a nickname like 1-eye Bob.
Overall, this is a comeptent Action-Comedy, the writing is quite weak at times, but it is by no means terible. A good competent film. A very diffrent mrole for Seann William Scott, who is more accumstomed to playing goofy characters such as Stifler from American Pie and Chester from "Dude, Where's My Car". Still he handles it well.
