Review of Stardust Memories (1980) by Sakari L — 18 Apr 2008
This is Woody Allen at the top of his game. It's amazing how the film looks and feels almost exactly like Fellini's "Otto e mezzo" yet it's still neither a plagiat nor a simple homage - Allen creates something entirely of his own from all these ingredients (you get the neurotic main character, nazi jokes and self-reflexivity all in gorgeous B&W).
A wonderful, humorous film.
