Review of Stardust Memories (1980) by Alysia V — 05 Apr 2010
Woody Allen movies fall into three categories for me: The ones I love. The ones I like a lot. And the ones I simply cannot stand. I will say that very few fall into the "cannot stand" category, seeing as I am a Woody Allen fan.
And "Stardust Memories" falls into the "I like it a lot" category, for me. Will I remember it fondly as one of my favorite Allen films? No. But do I like it enough to watch it again? Yes.
I was entertained and got my fill of laughs from the ever so witty Woody. I think my main problem with this movie was that it didn't really have a plot. It was sort of all over the place, as if I just watching a film about the random ramblings of Mr.
Allen. It never really went anywhere, but it still had enough of Woody's clever humor that I enjoyed it.
