Review of Stardust Memories (1980) by Michael M — 13 Jan 2011
An essential for Woody Allen fans, garbage for pretty much everyone else. Autobiography and homage come to a boiling point in this fascinating meditation on almost everything, or, at least, everything that concerns Mr.
Allen. It's indulgent and quite harsh in its satire, but this only fuels the discussion that is mocked almost ad nauseam by the film itself. I loved it, but I really don't know about you.
