It was disappointing. Ridiculous nonsensical scenes like that one of Leia floating through space after surviving an explosion are throughout the film. Annoying and pointless side stories are in film. It does.

Have great action and special effects and the cast does what they can to make the movie work. It also sets the stage for a potentially great third film. Because of that it feels like a place holder.
